For a GTA 6 purchase in Kingston, Ontario, start with the west-end destination that fits the job. Best Buy is at 770 Gardiners Road, EB Games is at 599 Taylor-Kidd Boulevard, Unit 1, and Walmart's existing Kingston Supercentre is at 1130 Midland Avenue. These three verified businesses give you an electronics choice, a gaming specialist and a general retail choice. They do not require three visits.

Choose the item and confirm a workable purchase or collection arrangement before travelling. If you are starting downtown or coming into Kingston for another reason, the useful route is to one exact address and back. An old launch-event page or a familiar shopping-centre name can send you to the wrong place, so this guide keeps the current destination separate from the memory of where a shop used to be.

Make the west-end trip solve one clear job

If you already have a supported console and know the edition you want, the job is simply to buy the right game and receive it. If you also need a console, the job is larger. If you are buying for someone else, it includes a platform and account-region check. Decide which of those jobs you are doing before choosing the store.

Best Buy is relevant when you need an electronics purchase or a clearly named online pickup. EB Games is relevant when you want a gaming-focused seller at the current Taylor-Kidd address. Walmart is relevant when a general shopping trip already takes you to Midland Avenue and its exact offer works for you.

This does not rank the shops by stock or promise that one will have more GTA VI copies. It gives each address a purpose. The right answer can change with the date, edition, collection arrangement and your journey. A shop that has no workable offer for your item is not a useful first stop merely because its name sounds more specialised.

Someone coming from central Kingston should compare the three options before making the west-end journey. Someone already planning a Midland Avenue errand may start with Walmart online instead. In either case, do not add another stop unless there is a clear reason, such as a confirmed replacement order or a hardware question that your chosen seller cannot answer.

1. Best Buy Riocan Centre: Gardiners Road for electronics and pickup

Address: 770 Gardiners Road, Kingston, ON K7M 3X9.

Best Buy's official page names this branch Riocan Centre and gives 770 Gardiners Road. It lists in-store pickup, gaming categories and electronics support. This is the practical choice to investigate when the game is part of a wider console purchase.

A console buyer should ask for a complete offer, not a headline price. Have the seller identify the full model, the included items and what the game component supplies. If a bundle includes credit, write down how much credit and where it can be used. Credit towards a game is different from receiving the complete game.

If you own a console already, a photo of its model label or the exact model name can prevent confusion. Do not guess from the controller or the colour of the machine. GTA VI's supported platforms are PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. An older console from the same brand is a separate device.

The branch page describes pickup with a confirmation and identification. Follow the latest directions on your own order. A general description of fast pickup does not give an unreleased game a same-day collection promise. Make sure your message names the Riocan Centre branch and says the item is ready before you leave.

2. EB Games: Taylor-Kidd Boulevard, Unit 1

Address: 599 Taylor-Kidd Boulevard, Unit 1, Kingston, ON K7M 3X9.

The current EB Games Canada store directory lists 599 Taylor-Kidd Boulevard, Unit 1, Kingston, with the phone number 613-384-8998. This gives you a gaming specialist at a specific current address. Save the unit number with the street.

Use this branch when a gaming-focused discussion is useful or when its actual product and collection terms are your best fit. Ask a direct question: “I want GTA VI for this platform and account region. What exactly would I receive, and when would this branch hand it over?” That is more useful than asking whether they “have GTA” without identifying the product.

Old event pages can still mention a Cataraqui Town Centre location. Do not use an old midnight-launch list to decide where to collect now. A historic event proves where that event was listed, not where your current order belongs. The Taylor-Kidd destination is the one confirmed in the current directory used for this guide.

If a deposit or reservation is offered, record what it does. Is it part-payment for an exact edition, a refundable reservation, or something else? Does it apply at this specific branch? What remains due, and what notice tells you to collect? The answers should live in the receipt or order terms, not only in your memory of a phone call.

If trade-in is part of your budget, get the current value and conditions before relying on it. Do not count an estimate as money already received. Keep any game or device you still need until you understand what you are giving up and how the credit can be spent.

3. Walmart Kingston Supercentre: the existing Midland Avenue store

Address: 1130 Midland Avenue, Kingston, ON K7P 2X9.

The existing Kingston Walmart is at 1130 Midland Avenue. Walmart's current employment listing confirms the address, and CIBC's official locator identifies its ATM inside Walmart at the same location. This is the general retail choice for a buyer whose ordinary errand already belongs on Midland Avenue.

Use the full address when selecting a store online. A national Walmart product result does not tell you the exact local receiving arrangement. Check the seller, platform, edition and whether the item is delivered, collected or supplied digitally. If the site offers a store selector, make sure the selected branch is the existing Midland Avenue location.

Walmart announced a new Kingston East Supercentre in October 2026, expected to open in 2027 at Division Street and Highway 401. That future development is not one of this guide's purchase stops. A news story about a coming store is not a usable GTA VI collection address for this round.

This option is strongest when it can share a trip you would make anyway. If it cannot fulfil the right item, compare another seller before changing your whole route. Do not let a useful grocery or household errand turn into a guarantee that the gaming purchase is solved too.

Build the route from the receipt, not the mall name

Use the exact street and number as your destination. Gardiners Road, Taylor-Kidd Boulevard and Midland Avenue identify different receiving points. Even when shops sit in the same broad shopping area, the counter you need is attached to one particular address.

Kingston Transit's official trip planner lets you enter a starting point, destination and time. If you use the bus, plan the journey to the chosen shop and the return journey after collection. Check service notices as well: the planner warns that some temporary detours may not appear in its suggested route.

For a purchase that includes a console, think about the carrying part of the journey before paying. A code box is easy to put in a bag. A console may not be. If another person will help collect or carry it, arrange their role through the seller's order instructions and your actual travel plan.

If driving, check the current parking conditions at the particular destination. No assumption about free parking is needed to choose a shop. Compare the whole trip cost instead: the item, any delivery charge, travel expense and time. A tiny saving may disappear if it creates a second journey.

Your written plan should name one first stop. A fallback can remain a phone number or online order until you need it. Write “EB Games, 599 Taylor-Kidd, Unit 1, call about exact item” rather than “try all shops in the west end.” The first is a task you can finish; the second can grow without a clear stopping point.

What a GTA VI box means for this purchase

Rockstar currently lists launch on 19 November 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The stated boxed format contains a download code rather than a disc. Before buying locally, make sure that is the format you want.

A boxed code can be a good gift because it gives you a physical package to hand over. It does not give the recipient a disc they can lend, resell or move between accounts by passing the case around. The game is redeemed through the relevant platform account.

For that reason, protect the code and leave gift redemption to the recipient. Opening the package and using the code on your own console is not a harmless test. It changes which account receives the purchase. You can check the platform, edition and seller receipt while leaving the code unused.

Kingston, Ontario is also a different market from Kingston in another country. Be precise when searching online, especially if you are buying for someone elsewhere. The retailer country, the currency and the code's stated region matter more than the shared city name.

If the player uses an account registered outside Canada, compare the code's requirements with that account before paying. A person can live in Kingston and still use an account set up in another country. Our account-region guide helps you separate residence, store country and account country.

The PlayStation North America code region covers Canada and the United States in Rockstar’s current rules. Xbox codes are not region-locked. Match that specific platform rule to the player instead of treating every overseas account alike.

When you need it for a date, work backwards

A birthday, a visit home or a promised launch session gives the purchase a deadline. Start with that deadline and work back to the receiving method. A seller's estimated dispatch date is not the same as the day a parcel reaches you. A preorder confirmation is not the same as a ready pickup notice.

If someone else will receive the gift, decide who keeps the receipt and what happens if the item is wrong. Keep a copy without exposing the code. If you buy well ahead of the gift date, read the return and cancellation terms before payment, especially for code products. Do not assume unopened hardware, opened software and redeemed codes follow identical rules.

If no local seller can give you a workable arrangement, direct purchase through the console's own store may remove the travel problem. It still needs the correct account and a way to give the purchase appropriately. Home delivery can work when somebody can reliably receive the parcel and the date fits.

Waiting is also a real option. If there is no deadline, you do not need to turn uncertain availability into an expensive trip or a hurried purchase. Read preorder or wait to compare those choices without assuming that booking earlier is always better.

Keep the record that helps if something goes wrong

Before leaving a counter, compare the platform and edition with the order. Keep the package unopened if the item is wrong. Ask the seller to explain any payment still due, collection condition or included credit while you have the receipt in front of you.

Later, if redemption fails, write down the exact error. Check the code entry, platform and region once, then contact the appropriate support channel with the purchase record. Repeatedly changing accounts or sending the full code to other people can make the problem harder to control.

The purchase trip card can hold your Kingston address, item, ready message and return plan. Make it a plan for one successful visit. The other two shops are there to give you a reasoned alternative if your first choice stops fitting.
