The useful place to start a local GTA 6 purchase in Manchester is the Arndale, provided the exact item and collection arrangement work for you. You can compare Argos, Currys and GAME within the same centre rather than building a long journey across separate retail parks. There is one important catch: GAME is inside Sports Direct, and the official centre directory identifies it on the fifth floor.

That small address detail can matter more than a long list of shop names. Knowing which business has your order is only the first half of reaching it. You also need the correct unit, floor and receiving instructions. This guide gives you three real destinations and a way to choose between them before you enter the centre.

Choose a counter, not just a shopping centre

Use Argos when you have already settled on the product and want to examine a clear online collection option. Consider Currys when a console or another piece of electronics is part of the purchase. Consider GAME when you want a gaming-focused conversation and its actual offer or collection service meets your needs.

These are reasons to investigate a seller, not a ranking of stock, price or staff knowledge. A store directory proves location and type of business. It does not show that GTA VI is available, that a launch allocation has been secured, or that a particular employee can solve every account problem.

It is tempting to say, “I will go to the Arndale and ask around.” That can work for browsing, but it is weaker for a time-sensitive purchase. Start with the product description and branch selection. If one retailer confirms the right order, go to that counter first. If you still want to compare a second offer, do so while the first purchase remains unredeemed and your spending decision is still open.

A short lunch break calls for a different plan from an afternoon visit. During a break, a ready collection order should be the whole job. During a longer visit, you might want to look at a console or controller, but those choices still need their own budget. The fact that three shops are in one centre does not mean you must visit all three.

1. Argos: use the Marsden Way South address

Address: Units R10-R19, Marsden Way South, Manchester Arndale, Manchester M4 3AT.

The official Argos page gives Units R10-R19, Marsden Way South, M4 3AT for Manchester Arndale Argos. Keep that full address with the order. The shop name “Manchester Arndale” and a pin for the centre are useful starting points, but the unit information is what helps you finish the journey.

Argos describes its collection process as choosing the collection point online, paying, and receiving an order number and collection code. For your purchase, read the date and status attached to that specific item. A product shown in a national catalogue may have a different collection date at your chosen branch.

Argos makes most sense here when the buyer knows exactly what they need. If you are buying for someone else, get the console name and edition before you place the order. You can then compare a clear product with a clear product. Trying to resolve a vague “the new GTA for their Xbox” request at the collection counter creates a problem that the order could have prevented.

Before leaving home or work, open the order and check that the selected store is this Arndale branch. Do not rely on a browser tab you opened earlier. A nearby collection point or another Manchester store may have appeared during checkout. Keep the code private and easy to display, and follow the receiving instructions in the confirmation.

2. Currys: separate the hardware decision from the game

Address: 93 Arndale Centre, Manchester M4 2HU.

Currys gives 93 Arndale Centre, M4 2HU as the branch address. The centre's official listing places it on the Upper Mall. This is the electronics-focused choice in the plan, particularly if you are still deciding which supported console to buy or what equipment you already have.

Write your existing setup down before you ask for help. Include the full console model, whether it works, what you want to spend and which extras you actually need. You do not need to know technical language. “I have this model at home and I want the game to work on it” is a good start when you can show the model accurately.

If a console bundle is proposed, ask for the parts to be named separately. Does it include the full game or store credit? Is the game a code? Are the controller and headset items you intended to buy? The main question is whether the package solves your purchase, not whether it contains more objects.

Currys' branch page describes ordering online and waiting for a ready collection confirmation. Apply that order to your trip: first the order, then the ready message, then the journey. Do not treat a generic same-day service description as a GTA VI promise. A preorder can follow a different timetable from an item that is already available.

3. GAME: the fifth floor inside Sports Direct

Address: 5th floor, Sports Direct, Upper Mall, Manchester Arndale, Manchester M4 3AQ.

Manchester Arndale lists this destination as “Game (5th floor Sports Direct)” on the Upper Mall. It describes games, consoles and gaming accessories, and lists click and collect. The floor detail is part of the destination, not a decoration you can leave out when sending somebody else to collect.

Plan to find Sports Direct and then the GAME area inside it. Do not arrive expecting a separate street-level GAME entrance. A street map can show the right building while saying nothing useful about the last part of the journey inside. Save the centre's store listing and map as well as your order.

If changing levels is a concern, ask about the current route to the fifth floor before your trip. This guide does not claim a particular lift, entrance or accessible route has been checked for your needs. The right question is specific: “How do I reach GAME inside Sports Direct from the entrance I intend to use?” That gives the shop or centre something practical to answer.

Use this stop for a gaming purchase that has a clear seller and item. Do not turn an accessory display into a prediction about GTA VI supply. Ask whether an offer is for the full game, which platform it covers, and how it is received. A collection service in the directory is helpful, but eligibility and timing belong to your actual order.

Arriving at the Arndale and finding your destination

The centre's official directions identify Exchange Square, Market Street and Shudehill as nearby Metrolink stops. Use the one that suits your actual route rather than adding a transfer just to match a suggested stop. Once you enter the centre, switch from the outdoor map to the store map. Transport gets you to the building; unit and floor details get you to the counter.

If travelling by car, the official directions describe the adjacent High Street car park as paid parking operated by Manchester City Council. Check the current conditions before parking. The game price is not the whole cost of the visit if you pay for transport or parking and spend time comparing offers.

Do not use the centre's opening hours as proof that your chosen retailer or internal department will still receive you. A shop can follow its own hours, and an internal counter can need its own collection arrangement. Plan around the named seller. If you will arrive near closing time, check the shop's current opening information and allow for the route inside.

For a short visit, your saved note might read: “Argos, Units R10-R19, Marsden Way South, ready order, collection code on phone.” For GAME it should include “inside Sports Direct, fifth floor.” That difference is why a useful Manchester guide cannot reduce three sellers to the same postcode and call the route solved.

A local box still leads to a download

Rockstar lists PS5 and Xbox Series X|S for GTA VI. Launch is currently set for 19 November 2026, and the stated boxed product contains a download code rather than a disc. Plan the account and download before collecting.

This is especially important if you are replacing an older game-buying habit. A box on a shelf looks familiar, but it does not create a game you can move between accounts by handing somebody the case. Redeeming the code attaches the purchase through the relevant platform's system. Do not redeem a gift on your own account simply to make sure the code works.

Check the platform, edition and stated account region on the listing. If the recipient normally uses an account from outside the UK, a local Manchester purchase needs a separate region check. Their current address is not necessarily the country on that account. See buying for another account region before paying.

Also think about the place where the download will happen. Someone can carry a small box home quickly and still have a long download ahead. Make sure they can sign in, have enough free storage according to the final requirements, and use a suitable connection. A shopping trip solves receipt of the package; it does not complete those later steps.

Rockstar lists the UK PlayStation code region for UK-registered accounts only. It says Xbox codes are not region-locked. Use that distinction when a Manchester buyer is purchasing for a player whose account was opened elsewhere.

When two Manchester offers look nearly the same

Compare the same platform, edition and receiving method first. Then compare the total cost and the date that actually matters to you. An offer for store credit is not the same as an offer for a boxed game. A preorder deposit is not necessarily the full price. A promised email code is not the same receiving arrangement as an Arndale collection.

For a gift, the easiest order is often the one with a clear receipt and an unopened package that can be handed to the recipient. The cheapest-looking offer becomes less helpful if its date falls after the gift is needed. Read our gift buying guide if you are trying to protect the surprise while getting the account and platform right.

If you have already ordered from one seller, keep that order under control before buying from another. Record what is paid, what remains due and whether the cancellation has actually completed. A new purchase does not cancel the earlier one. When comparing a replacement, count any money still tied up in the first order.

Be careful with a third-party online listing that happens to use a familiar retailer's website. The named seller and delivery method decide what you are buying. A website carrying a marketplace offer does not automatically mean the Arndale counter can collect, return or resolve it. Our offer legitimacy check helps separate a full game offer from other products.

Leave with the correct item and a usable record

At the counter, compare the order with the package while the code remains protected. Check platform, edition, condition and seller receipt. If the product is wrong, show the order and ask for the mistake to be corrected before opening it. If it is right, keep the receipt somewhere separate from the code.

Use the purchase trip card for your chosen retailer, unit or floor, collection date and fallback. A good fallback is an actual alternative order or a decision to buy digitally on the correct console account. It is not a promise to keep wandering until someone has what you want.
